Room correction can be a complex process. Even high-precision rooms and expensive components will produce less than optimal performance if monitors are not tuned for the room. Whenever you change rooms or monitor positioning within a room, the monitors will need to be re-calibrated. With AEX Labs CCAS (Computer Controlled Amplification System) amplifiers and their onboard audio processing, this task becomes quick and easy. AEX Labs CCAS offers unprecedented flexibility for end users to adjust their monitors to be “correct and accurate” in ANY ROOM OR LOCATION.” CCAS digital audio processing is built into every AEX Labs CCAS Series Professional Power Amplifier. Our system provides easy-to implement filters, including; equalization, speaker protection, noise gates, limiting, delay, phase and more. These and other unique features make AEX Labs CCAS Series Professional Power Amplifiers one of the world’s leaders in cutting edge professional and audiophile products.

CCAS Software Application which, via an easy-to-use Graphical User Interface, lets end users adjust each system parameter. CCAS Series Digital Audio Processor Modules, included within each amplifier, utilize 16 Bi-quad filters per channel using ultra-precise 24-bit/96 kHz functions to implement the system settings developed by the CCAS Software. During setup, you simply connect a PC or laptop to the amplifier via a USB port, and load the new settings into the amplifier’s flash memory. It couldn’t be easier.

CCAS amplifiers have an array of Bi-quad IIR filters per channel can be user-configured in a choice of; Low-pass, High-pass, Band-pass, All-pass, Parametric EQ, LF shelf and HF shelf configurations. (IIR refers to the filter’s Infinite Impulse Response function, which is non-zero over an infinite length of time. IIR filters can achieve a given filtering characteristic using less memory and calculations than a similar Finite Input Response/FIR filter.) All-digital CCAS filters are totally predictable and produce results accurate to a fraction of a dB at any crossover frequency, bandwidth and level adjustment. Because they are generated with all-digital precision, CCAS filters are surgically accurate, which translates to tight, predictable response across the entire frequency range.

Usefully, all systems settings can be adjusted in real-time using a LIVE UPDATE MODE and modified values auditioned one by one while listening to music and similar program material. In this way a loudspeaker system might be fine-tuned for accuracy AND natural sound, using actual music rather than test-tone signals. The resulting custom parameter settings can then be uploaded via the standard USB connection from the laptop or desktop PC into the CCAS Amplifier. The CCAS Software Application comprises several fully configurable processing blocks, as can be seen on this Primary Set-up Screen for initializing and controlling all-digital input and output elements. Previously saved systems settings can be recalled from the PC’s hard drive and resaved as necessary in various libraries.

Quality and Quantity

In today’s audio marketplace, powered loudspeaker systems are quickly becoming the first choice for production studios, sound-reinforcement operators and high-end consumers. AEX Labs has developed a total design approach. Take advantage of the multiple options and full programmability provided by CCAS Power Amplifiers. AEX Labs CCAS Powered Monitors can turn any production facility, home or home theater, or sound-reinforcement venue into a world-class listening experience.  Unlike competitive products, AEX Labs CCAS Powered Monitors feature integral digital signal processing that enables end users to easily and quickly implement filters and system equalization. Superior driver protection and thermal properties make these amplifiers ultra reliable and run super cool, (when running very high levels for long periods of time, heat sinks will remain cool/warm to the touch). Level, trim and EQ correction parameters are necessary to precisely mate monitor and room, to gain optimal performance. If or when monitors are moved within a room or to another room, a file of these DSP parameters can be saved and recalled if the monitors ever return or continually leave. Via USB simply run the CCAS software to load a saved setting, no need to retest EVER, (no limit on number of setting files that can be saved). These and other unique features make AEX Labs CCAS Powered Monitors a superior choice for professionals and audiophiles alike.

Dramatically Reduced Time to Calibrate System
Now a monitor can be installed and put into production within a fraction of the time required with conventional amplifier designs using old-fashioned analog crossover and EQ components. Testing, measuring, and calibrating an audio system can take a lot of time and  money.  In a new loudspeaker system. this test-and-measure processcan take days and sometimes weeks. With AEX Labs CCAS Powered Monitors this process is extra-ordinarily accurate, very easy, and has huge time saving features.

Easy-to-Implement DSP Signal Processing
The AEX Labs CCAS Powered Monitors and CCAS control/correction software dramatically reduce the staff, equipment, and resources needed to develop an accurate audio playback system. A wonderful advantage for large and smaller systems. Simply connect the AEX Labs Monitor (via USB), directly to a PC or laptop and instantly change equalization, level-trim and  delay and phase, etc. For calibration or to fine tune a loudspeaker system for specific artistic tastes and market requirements, you can recall saved settings files and instantly change the way your monitors do their intended job. you can even listen to your changes in real-time, to instantly evaluate system modifications with music, rather than test signals. It couldn’t be easier.

No Tolerance Stack
With conventional crossovers, dynamics and system equalization, even those fabricated  from high-tolerance, 1% electronic components can produce less than optimum results. And with 30 components in a typical three-way crossover circuit, such errors can be cumulative. CCAS circuits are totally digital, totally predictable and produce consistent results that are accurate to within a fraction of a dB at any crossover frequency, bandwidth and attenuation. Now ultra-accurate results are just a keystroke away.

Enhanced Granularity in System Performance
Because of their digital precision, CCAS crossovers, driver-protection, delay and EQ circuits are capable of surgical accuracy, which translates to tight,  pre-dictable response across the entire frequency range. Enjoy more precise sonic detailing than you ever thought possible!
